Saturday afternoon at the Bangor Auditorium, the Bangor Rams and Medomak Valley of Waldoboro basketball teams split their games in the John Bapst Preseason Basketball Tournament with the Panthers pulling out a win in the girls game and the Rams cruised to victory in the boys game.

Leading the Panthers in scoring was Christensen with 11 points and Vose with 10 points (8-for-8 free throws). Kasey Benner scored seven points and Nicole Weaver added six points.

In the boys game, Zach Blodgett scored eight points in the first quarter to lead the Rams to an 18-11 lead and Bangor never looked back as they cruised to a 62-38 victory.
