Dube leads Howlers to opening day victory

Bangor – In Bangor on Tuesday, Kayla Dube pitched a one hitter with eight strikeouts to lead the Penobscot Valley Howlers to a 10-1 victory over Bangor Christian in a mutual season opener. Dube allowed one run in the first inning and then shut down the bats of the Patriots the rest of the way.

The Howlers scored three runs in the first inning, and added one in the fourth and two runs in each of the final three innings.
