Dover-Foxcroft-- The Foxcroft Ponies coaching staff preaches to their pitching staff to attack the strike zone. That is exactly what Jesse Provost did on Monday afternoon. Provost gave up one hit, two walks and one unearned run to lead the Foxcroft Ponies to a 2-1 victory over the Orono Red Riots. Provost threw 63 of his 99 pitches for strikes. He struck out four.

"He (Provost) attacked the strike zone all day," Ponies Coach, Mark Chevalier said. "He only gave up one hit and that was in the seventh inning. The run he gave up was unearned. He had a few big strikeouts when they had runners on base. We preach that we want our pitchers to attack the strike zone. He did that all night. His fastball was sharp."
