Red Devils cruise to 9-0 victory over Stearns

Corinth---  The Central Red Devils graduated six seniors from last year's softball team that advanced to the Class C semi-finals in the Eastern Maine tournament. Coach, Durice Washburn did not lose her pitcher or catcher and both came up big on Wednesday.

Alix Rudzinski pitched a two hit shutout to lead the Red Devils to a 9-0 victory over the Stearns Minutemen. She struck out six and walked only one. Roberta Trafton went 3-4 with four RBI.



"We graduated six seniors, so we have six new kids in different positions," Washburn said. "They have held their own very well. When you get your pitcher and catcher back, it is a help."
