MILLINOCKET - The Stearns High School Minutemen hosted the Penobscot Valley Howlers Saturday Afternoon in Millinocket and were looking to avenge a 36-35 loss to the Howlers from back in December . Stearns did just this with a 57-47 win..
Stearns was led by Kyle McVey, who had 16 points, Riley Whitney added 15, Marc Morneault contributed 12, Seth Brown had eight, Lucas McLain 4 and Tysom Girsatwo for the 5-9 Minutemen.
Griffin Libby led PVHS with 17 points, Logan Jipson had 12, Wyatt Foster contributed 10, while Robbie Hallett, Tyler Wood, Tom Millett and Wade Thurlwo had two each for the 4-11 Howlers of Howland.
Stearns next game is Tuesday, January 31st when they host the Dexter Tigers in Millinocket.. Penobscot Valley's next game is also Tuesday, January 31st when they host Deer-Isle Stonington in Howland..
