Ashley Kelley did not give up a earned run and the offense exploded for 11 runs in two innings as the University of Maine black bears softball team rolled to a 11-3 five inning over Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday evening.
Maine fell behind 3-0 in the first inning as Cal State Fullerton scored three unearned runs. Maine scored three runs in the fourth inning and eight in the fifth inning to finish off the victory.
The Black Bears had two freshmen at the top of the order and both produced. Kristen Koslosky and EmJ Fogel each had three hits. Fogel scored two runs and had one RBI. Koslowsky had one RBI and one runs scored.
Dagmar Ralphs had three hits including two doubles. She also had two RBI and two runs scored. Margaret Hilton also had two RBI. Maine (2-6) will play a doubleheader at Long Beach State on Wednesday, February 29th. First pitch is scheduled for 4 PM eastern time.
